Visiting in May or early June on a weekday? Consider planning your visit for after 2 p.m. if you prefer a quieter experience. We're thrilled to have nearly 1,000 excited school children visiting between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on most days, but we know it can be a little too noisy for some folks!

African-Americans in Aviation: Then and Now

In honor of Black History Month, we celebrate African Americans in aviation. This panel discussion will offer personal aviation stories of success, triumphs and defeat from Woodson M. Fountain, Northwest Airlines’ first African-American pilot; and Mamie Langford Singleton, Youth Initiative Aviation Academy's Executive Director. Update: Due to weather, Maj. Joe Gomer will be unable to join us in person, but he will be joining us by phone.
 
We will offer a live webcast of the program on this website.
