History Hound HiJinx

Spring Break - Wed., March 29 and Wed., April 5, 2017
Spring is in the air, a great time to learn about Minnesota weather. Explore the Weather Permitting exhibit including the "get to the basement" tornado simulation, make a suncatcher to take home, test your knowledge of Minnesota's weather in a live game show and join a "thunderstorm" parade. No school groups are scheduled for this day.
Animal Heroes of WWI - Tues-Fri., 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from June 13 to Aug. 18, 2017
Over 16 million animals including horses, mules, camels, dogs, and pigeons served a crucial role during World War I and made brave contributions to their human comrades.  Learn about some of these amazing animals, then cut, color, and assemble paper models of the heroic Stubby the War Dog and the valiant carrier pigeon, Cher Ami (Dear Friend).  Be prepared to write a secret message to save the day, the visit the WWI America exhibit!
