Minnesota Historical Society at the State Fair

New for 2015: History-on-a-Schtick - Daily Free show!

Join the Minnesota Historical Society at the State Fair - 9:30 am daily, Aug. 27-Sept. 7
Schilling Amphitheater in the West End (near the bus drop off area)
Minnesota history comes alive in this brand-new show! The mosquito, a blueberry muffin, wild rice, a walleye and other state symbols hold a fashion parade, and Betty Crocker hosts the Cereal Bowl trivia contest with special guests Paul Bunyan, Dough Boy and Snoopy! Enjoy the 10,000 Lakes Polka and a Bob Dylan parody. Test your Minnesota know-how and win prizes.
The original script (with a catchy new song about the State Fair!) is penned and directed by local actor and playwright Beth Gilleland. Music direction by Kevin Dutcher. Brought to you by the Minnesota Historical Society and the Minnesota State Fair Foundation.
