A Thousand Journeys, One Home: Asian Pacific Heritage Day

Sat., April 22, 2017, 12-4 p.m.

Included with museum admission

Celebrate friendship, diversity and unity with artists from the Twin Cities Asian Pacific communities as they highlight traditions that help us connect with one another and with other communities. Make a dragon puppet. a rakhi friendship bracelet, and learn what it takes to be a Chinese lion dancer in a special workshop and parade. Performances and displays will feature organizations representing the Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Hmong, and Vietnamese communities. And be sure to shake paws with our hero for history, the History Hound! Family days are for curious learners of all ages.

Support for this program provided by The Nina M. Archabal Fund for Museum Programs.
