Ride through the history, culture and cuisine of University Avenue—highway to success for eight generations of St. Paul newcomers. Discover how Frogtown really got its name, visit the city’s oldest Black churches, and find out why, today, the avenue is St. Paul’s “Asian Mainstreet.” Along the way, sample the city’s best Vietnamese bahn-mi (sandwiches), nosh on the most authentic barbecue around, and satisfy your sweet tooth with desserts sent from across the Pacific.
