Home Place Minnesota

Closing July 4, 2012

In the words of novelist and poet Wallace Stegner, "some realize, after long searching, that the place that they left is the one that they have been searching for."

Hear fond memories of the land and communities of Minnesota, as well as feelings of isolation, in this enclosed 50-seat theater. Listen to readings from diaries, poetry, memoirs and novels and encounter photographs and objects from the Society's collections that bring these words to life.

Major funding for Home Place Minnesota has been provided by the Bell Family and the James Ford Bell and David Winton Bell Foundations, with additional support from the US West Foundation.
