Museum Hours

10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday;
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday;
12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday;
Closed Monday (open Monday holidays year round).

Due to popular demand, the 1968 exhibit will be open additional hours. This exhibit will be open until 8 p.m. on these dates: 2/4, 2/10, 2/11, 2/17, & 2/18 (other museum exhibits will not be open extended hours).

Little Locavores

· Tickets: Included with museum admission ($10 for adults; $8 for seniors and college students; $5 for children ages 6-17; free for ages 5 and under)

Families are invited to explore Minnesota’s agricultural heritage through its food. Children and parents will enjoy healthy treats prepared by local chefs, including:

  • Wild rice salad with noted Minneapolis chef Seth Bixby Daugherty
  • Healthy popsicles from Helados Y Paletas La Chiquita
  • Local red skin potatoes with ketchup of local bushel boy tomatoes by a chef from the History Center’s Café Minnesota
  • Natural soda from Northern Brewer
  • Grilled corn on the cob two ways by Fabulous Catering

Learn more about local eating, play historic lawn games and save your favorite recipes in a cookbook you make yourself. Kid-friendly performances by School of Rock, MC/VL and Walker West Music Academy Student Jazz Ensemble provide a musical backdrop to the day’s activities.
